Armed Israeli colonists storm outskirts of Nablus-governorate village

NABLUS, September 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Armed Israeli colonists on Tuesday evening stormed the outskirts of the Burin village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a municipal source.

Ibrahim Umran, Head of the Village Council, said that armed colonists broke into al-Ayn ash-Sharqiyya area, triggering confrontations with villagers.

The assailants opened live fire on the villagers who attempted to fend off the attack, but without any injuries.

Meanwhile, the occupying forces conducted separate raids in the villages of Bizzariya , Qusra, Kafr Qallil, Burin, Duma, Sebastia, and Beit Furik, where the heavily armed soldiers fired barrages of tear gas canisters at the villagers and conducted provocative tours.

Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
