GAZA, September 22, 2025 (WAFA) – At least 29 Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire and ongoing shelling of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Monday, including 25 from Gaza City.
Medical sources said that the Al-Rantisi Children's and Eye Hospitals have gone out of service due to the ongoing shelling of the hospitals' surroundings, in addition to the destruction of the Medical Relief Center in Gaza City.
Al-Rantisi Hospital had been directly targeted by Israeli airstrikes days earlier, causing extensive damage.
Ayoun Hospital is the only public hospital providing eye services in the Gaza Strip, and so is Al-Rantisi Hospital, which offers services that are only available at this hospital.
Medical sources emphasized that Israel is deliberately and systematically destroying the health care system in the Gaza Strip as part of its policy of genocide against the Strip.
They emphasized that patients and the wounded face extreme difficulty in reaching the Jordanian field hospital and Al-Quds Hospital due to the ongoing shelling. They also emphasized that there are no safe roads enabling patients and the wounded to reach hospitals.
