NEW YORK, September 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel announced on Sunday evening that Portugal has officially recognized the State of Palestine, in a historic decision.
The announcement came just hours after the governments of the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia formally recognized Palestine earlier in the day. The coordinated moves were hailed as a landmark victory for international justice and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
