GAZA, September 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Nine Palestinians were killed on Saturday evening in multiple Israeli airstrikes and shootings across the Gaza Strip, as the ongoing Israeli assault on the besieged territory continues into its 23rd month.
WAFA correspondents reported that four people were killed and several others wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Hamid Junction west of Gaza City. Another three Palestinians were killed when an Israeli drone bombed a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Sawarha area, west of Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
In northern Gaza, one person was killed in an airstrike on a tent sheltering displaced civilians northwest of Gaza City. In the south, a woman was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the vicinity of Hamad City in northern Khan Younis.
Israeli occupation forces also attacked security teams escorting aid trucks in the Batn al-Samin area south of Khan Younis, injuring several people. Two others sustained critical injuries in a separate airstrike near Haneen Mosque, located northwest of Khan Younis.
According to medical sources, today’s death toll has risen to 79 Palestinians since early Saturday, amid continued Israeli bombardment across the strip.
Meanwhile, large parts of western Gaza City are experiencing a severe internet blackout due to the ongoing airstrikes and the systematic demolition of residential buildings by Israeli forces.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 65,208 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 166,271 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
