Israeli colonists attack Palestinian vehicle in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, September 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked a Palestinian vehicle on Friday in the Al-Farsiyah area of the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank, shattering its windows with stones, according to local sources.

The targeted vehicle belonged to Raed Sobeih, a Palestinian who was passing near the area when a group of colonists hurled rocks at his car, causing significant damage.

The Jordan Valley has seen frequent colonist assaults in recent months, particularly in and around Al-Farsiyah, Khirbet Humsa, Ein al-Hilweh, and other Bedouin and agricultural communities. These attacks often include vandalism of vehicles, destruction of crops, setting up illegal outposts, and physical assaults on residents.

Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley face increasing pressure from colonists and the Israeli military, including home demolitions, land confiscation, movement restrictions, and denial of access to water sources. Many of these actions are carried out with the aim of forcibly displacing residents and expanding Israeli settlement activity in the area, which is classified as Area C and remains under full Israeli control.
