RAMALLAH, September 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Presidential spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that the Israeli occupation forces' launch of a large-scale aggression on Gaza City constitutes a dangerous escalation that threatens the lives of millions of Palestinians and will deepen the humanitarian catastrophe.
He warned of the danger of Israeli colonies calling for the burning and reoccupation of Gaza, describing them as new war crimes added to the occupation's criminal record.
He added, "We hold the occupation government responsible for this dangerous escalation, which is forcing thousands of citizens to flee the areas to which they were originally displaced, in a move aimed at displacing them."
"This is something we have rejected, continue to reject, and have repeatedly warned against. The entire world has rejected this escalation, considering it a war crime against humanity and will lead to further tension and instability in the region as a result of these condemned and unacceptable Israeli policies."
The official presidential spokesman affirmed, "We call on the US administration to shoulder its responsibilities and not encourage the occupation to continue its comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people.
He further called for immediately halting this bloody war, in which more than 200,000 civilians have been killed or wounded, and to comply with international resolutions calling for an end to the war, the entry of aid, and an immediate withdrawal from the Gaza Strip."
