HEBRON, September 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians, including a woman, were injured and two others were detained on Saturday evening in an attack by Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, on the villages of al-Rakeez and al-Tuwana in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron.
The head of the al-Tuwana village council, Muhammad Rab'i, told WAFA that colonists stormed the Sha'b al-Tuwana area and assaulted residents, beating them and throwing stones at them. S
Following the attack, several residents sustained bruises and wounds, including a woman from the al-Adra family, who was transported to Yatta Governmental Hospital by Red Crescent ambulance crews.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that colonists stormed al-Rakeez village and assaulted residents, resulting in several injuries and bruises. Among them was Saeed al-Amour,60, whose leg was previously amputated after a colonist fired live bullets directly at him.
Makhamreh added that the occupation forces declared the two villages a closed military zone and prevented Red Crescent crews from transporting the elderly man, Al-Amour, to the hospital. They also arrested Ashraf Al-Amour and Naim Al-Adra, 60, from the village of Al-Tuwana.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation forces and colonists carried out more than 1,613 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank during the month of August.
