RAMALLAH, September 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Five Palestinian youths were injured early Friday morning by Israeli military gunfire in the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

Fathi Hamdan, head of the Deir Jarir Village Council, told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a group of young men on the road connecting the village to the nearby town of Silwad, wounding five of them.

Two of the injuries were described as moderate, while three others sustained minor wounds. One of the injured was briefly held by Israeli forces before being handed over to medical teams.

Hamdan added that Israeli troops also closed the main entrance to the village for several hours.
