JERUSALEM, September 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces today closed several military checkpoints surrounding occupied Jerusalem, causing severe traffic congestion and disrupting the movement of Palestinian residents.

WAFA correspondent stated that the military checkpoints closed today included Beit Iksa, Mazmoria, Qalandia, Sheikh Sa’ad, the Tunnel checkpoint, Checkpoint 300, and al-Isawiya. Residents were completely barred from entering or exiting.

The closures left thousands of vehicles stranded in long queues, as Israeli forces carried out thorough inspections and identity checks amid heightened security measures.

The repeated closure of military checkpoints around Jerusalem has become a form of collective punishment, significantly exacerbating the daily suffering of Palestinians trying to access their workplaces, schools, and essential services.
