RAMALLAH, September 6, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian youth sustained bruises on Saturday evening after being assaulted by Israeli colonists in the southern area of Al-Mughayyer village, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
Amin Abu Alia, head of the Al-Mughayyer Village Council, reported that the attack was carried out by colonists under the protection of Israeli forces.
Later in the evening, Israeli troops raided the village, firing live bullets and tear gas canisters. During the incursion, they detained a Palestinian youth after storming his home. No injuries were reported during the raid.
Colonist violence has been on the rise across the occupied West Bank, with frequent reports of assaults on Palestinians, destruction of property, and efforts to force residents off their land. These attacks often occur in the presence of Israeli soldiers, who would usually intervene to protect the assailants.
