GAZA, September 6, 2025 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced the deaths of six Palestinians, including a child, in the past 24 hours due to starvation and malnutrition in the war-ridden region.
This brings the total number of the starvation-related fatalities to 382, including 135 children.
Meantime, new cases of malnutrition and starvation are arriving at hospitals across Gaza at every moment. Around 900,000 children in the Strip are suffering from hunger, with 70,000 of them already in a critical stage of malnutrition.
The ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen, due to the Israeli blockade and resulting shortages of food and medical supplies. The severe famine is intertwined with the genocidal war waged by Israel since October 7, 2023.
Since March 2, 2025, the Israeli occupation authorities have closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip, blocking the entry of most food and medical aid, further accelerating the spread of famine across the territory.
