Gaza death toll reaches 64,231 since start of Israeli aggression in October 2023 - Medical sources

GAZA, September 4, 2025 (WAFA) - The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 64,231, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 161,583 others have also been injured.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

Medical sources confirmed that since Israel broke its ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, at least 11,699 civilians have been killed, and 49,542 others have been injured.

The number of aid seekers who were killed and brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours has reached 17, with more than 174 others injured. This raises the total number of aid seekers killed while trying to secure basic necessities to 2,356, with over 17,244 injured, according to hospital records.

Sources stated that 84 bodies and 338 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.

Hospitals in the Gaza Strip reported three additional deaths due to famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, bringing the total fatalities to 370, including 131 children.
