STOCKHOLM, Aug. 29, 2025 (WAFA) – A mass protest was held today in Stockholm in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the war-torn Gaza Strip and in condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s ongoing crimes against them.

The demonstration took place in central Stockholm, drawing participation from several Swedish political parties and organizations, alongside members of parliament and other prominent political figures.

Speakers at the protest stressed that supporting the Palestinian people is both a humanitarian and legal responsibility, describing what is happening in the Gaza Strip as a fully-fledged genocide.

They warned that the deliberate starvation and forced displacement of civilians constitute grave war crimes, and urged the Swedish government and the international community to take urgent action to press for an immediate ceasefire and to guarantee the unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance.
