HEBRON, August 20, 2025 (WAFA) - Israeli forces today detained at least 21 Palestinians, including a minor, during military raids into multiple West Bank areas, according to local and security sources.
Israeli forces detained 15 Palestinians from Hebron after raiding and searching their homes, ransacking their contents and physically assaulting the residents.
Israeli forces also set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron and its towns, villages, and refugee camps, and closed several main and side roads with iron gates, cement blocks, and earth mounds.
In Nablus, forces detained three local residents at dawn from the villages of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, and Salem, to the east of the city.
According to security sources, the forces raided homes, conducted field interrogations, assaulted one resident before detaining him in Burqa, and later detained two others in Salem.
Forces also stormed a mosque and several homes in the Al-Ma’ajin neighborhood of Nablus.
In the Ramallah area, Israeli forces detained a 60-year-old resident from the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood in the city of Al-Bireh after raiding and searching his home.
Earlier at dawn, two young men were also detained in the city of Tubas following similar raids on their homes.
Israeli forces also detained a 15-year-old boy at dawn from the town of Kafr Ra’i, south of Jenin, after raiding and searching his family’s home, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
