Colonist opens fire at Palestinians near Atara town north of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, August 16, 2025 (WAFA) – An extremist colonist opened fire on Saturday evening at Palestinians near the entrance of Atara town, north of Ramallah, according to security sources.

Sources told WAFA that the colonist attacked and fired live bullets at Palestinians at the town’s entrance. However, no injuries were reported.

The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that Israeli occupation forces and colonists carried out over 1,821 attacks in July. Of these, 1,355 were perpetrated by occupation soldiers, while colonists were responsible for 466, most of which took place in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh (302), Hebron (300), and Nablus (293).
