JERICHO, August 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Friday forcefully displaced two families from Al-Auja Bedouin community, north of the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to an activist.
Hassan Mlaihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that colonist militias besieged the dwellings of the families of Ayed Musa Kaabneh and Ibrahim Ayed Kaabneh, brutally beat and threatened to kill them, before forcing them to leave the community.
He added that Israeli colonists recently set up an outpost located just 300 meters away from the community, with colonists storming the community, vandalizing property, and intimidating Palestinians daily, making it unbearable.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
