TUNIS, August 11, 2025 (WAFA) – The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) strongly condemned the Israeli attack on a journalists' tent in Gaza City, which resulted in the killing of six journalists: Anas Al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqea, Ibrahim Daher, Moamen Aliwa, Mohammed Noufal, and Mohammed Al-Khalidi.
In a statement issued Monday, the ASBU affirmed that this crime is part of Israel's systematic attacks on Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip and across the occupied Palestinian territories. Additionally, since October 7, 2023, approximately 240 Palestinian journalists have been killed, an unprecedented figure that reveals the scale of crimes and the occupation's defiance of all international laws protecting journalists.
The ASBU, based in Tunis, called on all press, media, and human rights organizations worldwide to condemn these crimes, praising the courage of journalists in Gaza who document the facts despite the risks.
It also called for holding the perpetrators of these crimes accountable before the relevant international bodies.
