RAMALLAH, August 9, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists, backed by Israeli forces, attacked the village of Deir Jarir east of Ramallah on Saturday evening, leading to confrontations with Palestinian residents, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that a group of colonists gathered at the western entrance of the village, while Israeli forces stormed the area to protect the colonists and closed the village entrance.

Live fire and tear gas canisters were fired at the defenseless residents who confronted the colonists’ attack. However, no injuries were reported.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that Israeli forces prevented its crews from reaching Deir Jarir following reports of the colonists’ attack.
