RAMALLAH, August 9, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, attacked the village of Rammun east of Ramallah on Saturday evening, according to a local official.
The head of the village council, Ibrahim al-Khatib, told WAFA that a group of colonists, backed by Israeli soldiers, attacked the northwestern part of the village, opening fire on citizens and their homes, however, no injuries were reported.
Colonists also set fire to agricultural lands surrounding the homes of residents, while the occupation forces raided the area to protect the colonists, firing stun grenades, which intensified the fires and caused material damage to the lands.
Earlier, colonists attacked a Bedouin community in Ain Ayoub area, west of Ramallah, as well as families in the Arab al-Kaabnah Bedouin community, northeast of the city.
Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights said in a statement that colonists attacked a Bedouin community and burned their tents in the Ain Ayoub area, causing extensive property damage.
In another statement, the group reported that colonists attacked families in the Arab al-Kaabnah Bedouin community northeast of Ramallah, forcibly ordering residents to leave their homes and lands within two weeks.
According to a report by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, colonists carried out 466 attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property in the West Bank in July last year, resulting in the killing of four Palestinians and the forced displacement of two Bedouin communities comprising 50 families.
