JERICHO, July 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Extremist colonists stormed the village of Shalla al-Auja, north of Jericho, on Tuesday morning and assaulted Bedouin citizens while they were on their lands, as part of a systematic escalation aimed at forcibly displacing them.
Hassan Malihat, General Supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, said that the colonists, backed by the Israeli occupation army, beat the residents with sticks and unleashed trained dogs on them. They also threatened to burn their property if they did not leave the area.
Malihat explained that this attack is part of an organized forced displacement policy targeting residents of Bedouin communities in Area C, with the aim of expanding settlement control and imposing a new demographic reality in the region.
The residents of Shalla al-Auja, like other Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley, suffer from repeated attacks on their lands and homes.
