NABLUS, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) – A bulldozer operated by Israeli colonists resumed land-leveling operations on Friday morning in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, as part of ongoing efforts to seize Palestinian-owned land in the area for settlement expansion.
Local sources told WAFA that the bulldozing, which began several days ago, is taking place in the Jabal Qarqafa area, southwest of Aqraba. The bulldozing is aimed at facilitating the expansion of nearby colonial outposts.
Earlier this week, on Wednesday evening, colonists uprooted dozens of trees in the area between Aqraba and the nearby village of Majdal Bani Fadel, also located in the southern Nablus region.
Residents and rights groups have repeatedly warned that such acts—carried out without permits and in violation of international law—are part of a broader strategy to annex large swathes of Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank.
