GAZA, June 22, 2025 (WAFA) – Nine civilians were killed on Sunday evening in an Israeli artillery strike targeting people waiting for food aid in the Al-Waha area, northwest of Gaza City.
According to the WAFA correspondent, the victims were struck while waiting for humanitarian assistance.
Medical sources in Gaza reported that the number of civilians killed while waiting for food aid has risen to 450, with more than 3,466 others injured since the establishment of aid distribution centers.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli military has been waging a large-scale aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of 55,959 civilians, mostly children and women. An additional 131,242 people have been injured, with many more still trapped under rubble or scattered on the streets, unreachable by emergency and rescue teams due to ongoing bombardment.
