JERICHO, June 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday attacked Palestinian vehicles with stones on the Al-Muarrajat road, northwest of Jericho.
Eyewitnesses told WAFA that colonists stationed along the road hurled stones at vehicles bearing Palestinian license plates and shouted provocative slurs. The attacks disrupted traffic and forced several drivers to turn back and seek alternative routes.
Meanwhile, developments on roads in Jericho governorate included the complete closure of the “Hay’ah” checkpoint to the north and the “Yellow Gate” to the east in both directions. Severe traffic congestion was also reported at other military checkpoints, including the “Southern” and “Banana” checkpoints — particularly for those exiting the city.
