Israeli colonists fence off more land in Ein al-Hilweh, northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, May 30, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists fenced off additional land on Friday near the Palestinian village of Ein al-Hilweh, located in the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank, continuing a steady campaign of land appropriation.

Local sources reported that the fencing was carried out near settler encampments, cutting off access to crucial grazing areas relied upon by Palestinian herding communities.

This latest seizure is part of an ongoing strategy by colonists to expand their control over territory in the area. For several months, colonists have been enclosing large sections of pastureland in Ein al-Hilweh, in what residents describe as a creeping annexation aimed at displacing Palestinian communities and consolidating Israeli control over the region.
