RAMALLAH, May 9, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Friday evening torched large swaths of agricultural lands belonging to the villagers of al-Mughayyir, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.
They said that colonists set fire to large tracts of agricultural land in the area of Marj Adh-Dhahab, east of the village, destroying crops.
Meanwhile, colonists, under army protection, razed large swaths of Palestinian-owned land and set up mobile homes in the Khallet al-Qasser area, east of Beit Ta’mar village, east of Bethlehem, to make room for colonial construction.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
