CAIRO, April 25, 2025 (WAFA) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, declaring that the country remains, as history has shown, a strong bulwark against any attempts to eliminate it.
Speaking on Friday during a ceremony marking the 43rd anniversary of the liberation of Sinai, El-Sisi condemned the Israeli ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, saying that has left "nothing untouched, destroying both land and lives" and resulted in "tens of thousands of victims in a shameful humanitarian tragedy that will be etched in history."
The President emphasized that the reconstruction of Gaza must proceed according to the Arab-Islamic plan and firmly rejected any form of displacement of the Palestinian population.
El-Sisi reiterated that a just and comprehensive peace cannot be achieved without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in line with international legitimacy and UN resolutions.
