Israeli colonists steal water tanks in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, April 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists stole two water tanks used for livestock in the northern Jordan Valley region, northeast of the occupied West Bank, late last night, according to local sources.

Mu’taz Bisharat, the official in charge of monitoring colonial activity in Tubas Governorate, reported that a group of colonists seized the tanks from the Marah Allan area, east of Khirbet Humsa village in the region. The tanks were used by local Palestinian residents to provide water for their animals.

Over the past years, colonists—often armed and operating under the protection of Israeli forces—have engaged in a range of aggressive actions against Palestinian communities, including land seizure, crop destruction, livestock theft, arson, and physical assaults.

According to reports from human rights organizations, such attacks have intensified, particularly in Area C of the West Bank, where Israel maintains full civil and military control. These acts are often aimed at displacing Palestinian residents and expanding settler presence, creating an atmosphere of fear and instability in rural communities.
