RAMALLAH, April 18, 2025 (WAFA) — A young Palestinian man from the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, was injured on Friday after being assaulted by Israeli colonists near the entrance to the neighboring town of Deir Jarir, according to local sources.
Raed Hamed, the Mayor of Silwad, told WAFA that a group of colonists attacked several local youths with sticks and stones while they were working in agricultural fields near Deir Jarir. One of the young men sustained injuries and bruises that required medical attention and was transferred to a hospital in Ramallah for treatment.
Attacks by Israeli colonists against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank have been on the rise, frequently taking place under the protection of Israeli forces.
