Palestinian man injured in attack by Israeli colonists near Hebron

HEBRON, April 5, 2024 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man Saturday was injured after being attacked and brutally assaulted by Israeli colonists while he was plowing his land in the southern part of Hebron.

Citizen Mudar Ghaith told WAFA that the a group of Israeli colonists  assaulted his brother Hudhayfah while he was plowing the family's land in Wadi al-A'war, south of Hebron. They also unleashed dogs on him, causing him injuries throughout his bod. He was later rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment

During the raid, the colonists further smashed the windows of Hudhayfah's vehicle.

Ghaith noted that the colonists had set up a caravan a month ago on top of a mountain in the area to establish a new colonial outpost. The caravan was connected to an electricity grid after extremist Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed it.

He added that more than 80 dunams in the area provide an outlet for the city of Hebron in the southern part of the city. They are planted with vines and fruit trees, and are strategically located overlooking the towns of Yatta and Nuba to the south, Bani Na'im to the east, and the city of Hebron.

Ghaith appealed to the relevant authorities, human rights organizations, and anti-settlement committees to save the area from attacks and violations committed by colonists together with the occupying forces.
