Colonists plow lands belonging to Palestinians northeast of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, April 4, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Friday began plowing lands belonging to Palestinians in the town of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah, in an apparent prelude to taking over the land, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that the colonists brought a tractor into an area north of the town and began plowing privately owned Palestinian land, in an apparent prelude to taking over the land.

According to the same sources, landowners have been barred from accessing their property since October 7, 2023, after Israeli authorities declared the area a closed military zone. The lands are located just 200 meters from the nearest Palestinian homes.

The agricultural lands north of Sinjil span approximately 8,000 dunums, and residents continue to be denied access under various military pretexts.
