Dozens of casualties as Israeli warplanes continue their indiscriminate attacks across Gaza on Eid al-Fitr

GAZA, March 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians have been killed and injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes that targeted various areas across the Gaza Strip on the second day of Eid al-Fitr.

In Khan Younis refugee camp, Israeli airstrikes hit a home belonging to the Meqdad family, resulting in the killing of four civilians and leaving several others wounded.

Further east in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, in the Wadi Sabar area, an Israeli airstrike hit a home belonging to the al-Najjar family, killing two people and injuring others, including children.

Earlier last night, Israeli forces targeted a civilian vehicle in Gaza City. Three individuals were killed, and several others, predominantly children, were injured in the attack. The vehicle was struck near the Shifa Street area, west of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, two children, aged 12 and 16, were killed in an Israeli artillery strike on the eastern outskirts of Jabalia, in northern Gaza. The two victims were identified as Mohammad Amin Abu Freih and Nasser Yaser Abu Freih.

Another airstrike hit a residential apartment in the city of Khan Younis. The bombing resulted in the killing of nine people, including 34-year-old Ahmed Hussein Abu al-Eish, his wife Aya Jabr Abu al-Eish, 33, and their three young children: Karim, 7, Majed 8, and Miyan, 3. Also killed were the children's grandmother, Hala al-Haj, 59, and her son, Ibrahim Jabr al-Haj, 28, with more people reported to be wounded.

In the central part of Khan Younis, an Israeli airstrike on a house belonging to local resident Kamal Maamar killed six people and left several others injured, as confirmed by local medical sources.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 50,277 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 114,095 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
