NABLUS, March 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists Friday evening attacked worshippers inside a mosque in the village of Khirbet Tana close to Beit Furik, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.
They said that Israeli colonists, under military protection, assaulted worshippers while the latter were still inside a mosque in the village, at a time when Israeli soldiers fired barrages of concussion grenades and tear gas canisters and briefly confiscated worshippers’ ID cards.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
