Israel rejects all attempts to deliver aid to Gaza: UN agency

RAMALLAH, March, 26, 2025 (WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed that Israel has rejected most attempts by humanitarian organizations to bring essential supplies into the Gaza Strip, which is on the verge of an unprecedented famine.

In a statement, the UN agency said that the current situation in Gaza is deteriorating as violent hostilities continue into the second week.

It went on to say, "Essential supplies are running low, and some will only last a few more days unless shipments into the Strip resume."

The statement emphasized that most "attempts by humanitarian organizations to coordinate access with the Israeli authorities are being rejected."

UNRWA spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna said in a statement regarding the situation in the Strip: "There is a near-total collapse in all aspects of life in Gaza."

He stressed the need for a ceasefire and the entry of thousands of trucks of aid, considering that otherwise would be "a death sentence for the place, the infrastructure, and the people."
