16 Palestinian detainees face isolation and hunger in Israeli Megiddo prison

RAMALLAH, March 26, 2025 (WAFA) – The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs reported that 16 Palestinian detainees in Israel’s Megiddo prison are enduring harsh conditions of isolation and hunger.

According to the Commission’s lawyer, the detainees endure ongoing abuse, including severe physical assaults, intrusive searches, and prolonged exposure to harsh lighting that disrupts their sleep. Additionally, the substandard quality of food has led to considerable weight loss among the detainees.

The commission pointed out that this policy has escalated since the start of the aggression on Gaza in October 2023, serving as a form of retaliation and slow killing of the detainees.
