AMMAN, March 18, 2025 (WAFA) – Jordan slammed Tuesday Israel's resumption of its aggression against the Gaza Strip, launching widespread airstrikes on various areas of the Strip that so far claimed the lives of at least 400 Palestinian civilians, including children and women, with nearly 500 people reported injured.
The Ministry's official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Al-Qudah, stressed the need for Israel to abide by the ceasefire agreement in all its stages, which was achieved through Qatari, Egyptian, and American efforts.
He also warned that the Israeli military's actions risked further enflaming an “already explosive situation in the region if Israel continues its attacks against Gaza.
The statement reiterates Jordan's appeal to the international community to meet its legal and moral responsibilities to seek a ceasefire, protect the Palestinian people, provide for their humanitarian needs and hold Israel accountable for its violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
Al-Qudah also called for the need to open the crossings designated for the delivery of humanitarian aid to various parts of the Strip, which is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
