Israeli airstrike kills two Palestinians, injures others in central Gaza Strip

GAZA, March 17, 2025 (WAFA) – An Israeli airstrike Monday evening killed two Palestinians and injured others east of the al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that an Israeli remote-controlled quadcopter targeted a group of civilians to the east of the refugee camp, claiming the lives of two and bringing Monday’s death toll in the camp to five.

Earlier today, artillery shelled the As-Salam neighborhood, east of Rafah city in the southern Strip, at a time when an army remote-controlled quadcopter conducted an airstrike, injuring four civilians, including a woman, with bomb shrapnel.

In the morning hours today, a combat drone targeted a gathering of people near the Wadi Gaza Bridge in the central Strip, resulting in several deaths and casualties.

Israel has been waging military aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, killing 48,572 people, mostly women and children, and injuring at least 112,032.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
