SALFIT, March 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists Thursday a tract of land belonging to the villagers of Iskaka, east of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit, according to local sources.
They said that colonists used bulldozers to level an area of land belonging to the villagers which is already isolated within the borders of the nearby colony of Nofei Nehemia, located to the northeast of the village.
Osama Ath-Thaher, head of Iskaka Village Council, said that the leveled land covers an area of five dunums.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
