JERUSALEM, March 12, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian worker Wednesday succumbed to the serious injury he had sustained after falling from a construction site in the occupied city of Jerusalem, according to Jerusalem Governorate.
It said that Raafat Abdulaziz Abdullah Hammad, 35, died of his injury after being chased by Israeli occupation forces and falling from a height of five floors at a construction site in the city.
Hammad’s brother told the Governorate that the Hammad family objected to the occupation authorities’ demand to perform an autopsy on the body of his brother, which is still being withheld by the authorities purportedly to authenticate the identity of the body.
He added that the body of the father of three children aged between 1 and 6 years would be buried in his hometown of Silwad, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.
The Jerusalem Governorate slammed the crime as a part of a systematic policy pursued by the occupation forces against Palestinian workers who risk their lives climbing Israel’s apartheid wall to reach their workplaces at a time when the occupation forces continue to target them with gunfire and bombs, which resulted in killing and injuring dozens over the past few months.
