NABLUS, March 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists Wednesday razed large tracts of land belonging to the villagers of Qaryout, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.
They said that the occupying forces escorted two colonist-owned bulldozers to the Tantur area, on the southern outskirts of the town, where the heavy machinery leveled large tracts of the villagers’ land to take it over to expand the nearby colonies.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
