BEIJING, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that "Gaza belongs to the Palestinians and is an integral part of Palestinian territory." 

He made these remarks during a press conference in Beijing, where he reiterated his country’s strong opposition to U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to "own" Gaza and displace Palestinians to neighboring countries.

Wang emphasized that forcibly changing Gaza's status would only bring chaos, not peace. He further stressed that if any major country truly cares for the people of Gaza, it should focus on promoting comprehensive and lasting peace, increasing humanitarian aid, and contributing to the reconstruction of Gaza, all while respecting the principle that Palestine must be governed by Palestinians.

The Chinese foreign minister also called for all parties in the Middle East to set aside their differences and support the State of Palestine. He urged the international community to work together to promote peace in the region.

Wang reiterated China's role as a strategic partner to the countries of the Middle East and a steadfast friend of the Arab countries.
