AMMAN, February 16, 2025 (WAFA) - President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, received today the President of the World Jewish Congress, Ronald Lauder, at his residence in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
During the meeting, President Abbas firmly reiterated his unequivocal rejection of any forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.
He stressed the urgent need to uphold the ceasefire, deliver humanitarian aid, ensure the return of displaced persons to their neighbourhoods, and enable the Palestinian Authority to assume its responsibilities in Gaza.
This includes providing essential services, preparing for reconstruction, and advancing a political process aimed at implementing the two-state solution based on international legitimacy.
For his part, the President of the World Jewish Congress, Ronald Lauder, reaffirmed his belief in and support for a peaceful resolution based on the two-state solution, ensuring that all nations in the region can coexist in security, peace, and good neighborly relations.
