Israeli forces deliberately target infrastructure in northern West Bank camp

TULKARM, February 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Thursday deliberately targeted infrastructure in the northern occupied West Bank refugee camp of Nur Shams, according to WAFA correspondent.

She said that as the occupation forces continued their large-scale military onslaught on Tulkarm city along the nearby refugee camps, Israeli military bulldozers destroyed several houses at the al-Mansihiya neighborhood at a time when sounds of explosions could be heard in the neighborhood.

This came as additional army reinforcements in Nur Shams camp, which has been under siege for the fifth consecutive day, at a time when the occupation soldiers conducted large-scale raids, breaking into houses, tampering with their contents, and forcing out families at gunpoint.

More and more families en masse continued to flee the camp, making their way to the outskirts of the city and nearby towns.

The occupation forces chased residents of the Nur Shams and Tulkarm camps who attempted to return to their houses and opened gunfire towards them.

Eyewitnesses said that the occupation troops informed the displaced families that they were prevented from returning to their houses until further notice.

Meanwhile, other residents who opted not to leave their houses on the outskirts of the camp voiced concern about their fate, given the disruption of water and electricity supply, lack of basic needs and the fact that the occupation forces continue to detonate explosives and open gunfire toward the houses.

Israeli forces continued to patrol the streets and obstructed the free movements of the residents, at a time when soldiers broke into stores and interrogated their owners on the Thabat Thabet Government Hospital Street, the Dahab Street, and the vegetable market.

Similar raids were confirmed in the western and eastern neighborhoods, where the heavily armed soldiers ransacked houses, interrogated occupants and inspected their ID cards, at a time when they took over several residential buildings and turned them into military outposts.
