Four brothers sustain injuries in colonists’ attack near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, February 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Four brothers Friday sustained injuries in an attack by Israeli colonists in Husan village, west of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to security sources.

They said that Israeli colonists attacked farmers while the latter were tending to their land at the Abu Sud Mountain (Jabal Abu Sud), inflicting cuts and bruises across the bodies of four of them.

The sources added that the assailants briefly held a farmer before eventually releasing him.

There has been an uptick in attacks by Israeli colonists and the occupation forces against the town, including daily raids, land grabs, and uprooting trees.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Over 700,000 Israeli colonists live in colonies in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
