JORDAN VALLEY, February 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists Friday set up a shed at the Nab' al-Ghazal community in the northern Jordan Valley community, according to a resident.
Loay Zuhdi said that Israeli colonists erected a shed in the proximity of their dwellings, located near Khirbet al-Farisiya.
He added that the residents attempted to confront the colonists and prevent the takeover of their land, but were attacked.
He voiced the community’s concerns that the new shed would serve as the nucleus of a new permanent colonial outpost and as a prelude for the takeover of the community’s land and their displacement.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Over 700,000 Israeli colonists live in colonies in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
