JERICHO, February 3, 2024 (WAFA) – Colonists renewed on Monday night their attack on the Arab al-Malihat Bedouin community northwest of Jericho, according to a local official.

Hassan Malihat, an official with Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, informed WAFA that approximately 30 colonists, some of whom arrived in vehicles while others were on foot, launched the attack. Colonists spread out across the community; home to several Palestinian families.

Malihat further explained that the Arab al-Malihat community has been facing a series of continuous attacks by colonists. Earlier in the day, they stormed the area, destroying water sources and feed supplies, which are crucial for the livelihood of the residents.

The ongoing assaults have left the community, particularly women and children, living in constant fear, with every attack escalating the anxiety over the potential harm to their lives and property. The residents are increasingly concerned about the threat of violence and displacement as colonists’ aggression continues unabated.
