WASHINGTON, January 27, 2025 — U.S. Senator, Bernie Sanders, condemned US President Donald Trump's recent statements about Gaza, calling them a call for "ethnic cleansing."

“Trump stated that he wants to “clean out” Gaza and push the millions of Palestinians living there into neighboring countries,” he said in a post on X, adding: “There is a name for this — ethnic cleansing — and it’s a war crime."

He urged for strong opposition to such remarks, stating: “This outrageous idea should be condemned by every American.”

In a similar stance to Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, criticized the proposal of displacing Palestinians from Gaza to other countries, slamming it as “impractical.”
