NABLUS, January 26, 2025 (WAFA) – A group of Israeli colonists attacked a 71-year-old Palestinian man, beating him with sticks while he was working on his land in the village of Sebastia, located northwest of Nablus, on Sunday.
Mohammad Azzam, the head of Sebastia's village council, confirmed the attack, stating that the colonists assaulted Jawad Ghazal while he was working in his fields in the village's plains. The colonists targeted him with wooden sticks, causing injuries and bruises. Ghazal was subsequently transferred to hospital for medical treatment.
This attack is part of a disturbing pattern of violence carried out by Israeli colonists in the occupied West Bank, where Palestinians are often subjected to physical assaults, harassment, and intimidation.
These attacks are particularly common in rural areas near illegal Israeli settlements, where colonists, often with the protection of Israeli occupation forces, aim to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land.
