BETHLEHEM, January 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists destroyed on Friday thousands of cauliflower crops in the Khalayel Al-Loz area southeast of Bethlehem, according to a local activist.
Anti-wall and anti-colonies activist, Hasan Brijiyeh, informed WAFA correspondent that a group of colonists released a herd of sheep to graze on Palestinian farmland, destroying 5,000 cauliflower plants belonging to a local farmer. The farmer was identified as Othman Abu Kamel.
The destruction of the crops coincided with a military raid into the homes of the Abu Kamel family, where soldiers conducted searches and checked the identity cards of family members.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023.
The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned.
Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
