Israeli forces deny Palestinians access to agricultural land west of Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, January 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Tuesday denied Palestinians access to their agricultural land in Nahalin town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to a local source.

Jamal Najajreh, head of Nahalin Municipal Council, said that the occupation forces stormed the Ein Fares areas, west of the town, and handed the civilians a military order, declaring the latter’s land a closed military zone and making it off-limits to Palestinians.

He pointed out that the agricultural land covers an area of 1,000 dunums.

Meanwhile, he said that Israeli colonists set up two makeshift structures to serve as the nucleus of a pastoral colonial outpost at the Ein Fares area while cautioning that this step would effectively deny Palestinians access to large tracts of their cultivated land, which covers an estimated area of 3,900 dunums.

He noted that colonists recently chopped down 200 olive saplings and 100 perennial olive trees in the same area.
