SALFIT, January 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Extremist colonists uprooted on Friday evening around 100 fully-grown olive trees in the village of Yasuf east of Salfit, according to a local official.
Wael Abu Madi, head of the Yasuf village council, said that colonists from the Nofei Nehemia illegal colony, which was built on Palestinian land east of Salfit, cut down and damaged 60-year-old olive trees belonging to Palestinian citizens in the village.
Abu Madi noted that the targeted area, known as Al-Sarab, was attacked by colonists months ago, resulting in the uprooting of over 100 olive trees. He emphasized that such attacks are part of the broader efforts of the Israeli occupation and colonists to forcibly displace Palestinian communities from their land.
